Music transcription involves the interpretation of audio into a tangible visual form. Musicians utilize this skill to enhance their ear training abilities, grasp the construction of melodies by other musicians, and draw inspiration for their own musical creations.

Jazzcats! offers two distinct modes of play: Gameplay and Freestyle.

GAMEPLAY

Each level presents a brief melody for transcription, often extracted from renowned jazz recordings.

• Listen to the provided audio sample for transcription
• Add or remove notes in your transcription
• Playback your transcription and compare it to the audio sample
• Utilize hints if necessary
• Unlock cat musicians as a token of achievement

FREESTYLE

Within freestyle mode, unleash your creativity.
